TACLANE®-Micro/TACLANE-GigE IP Encryptor Training
For Installation, Configuration and Maintenance

Overview
The TACLANE Operator Training Course will teach you to install, configure and maintain TACLANE encryptors in an operational environment. This interactive, four-day course covers TACLANE-Micro (KG-175D) and TACLANE-GigE (KG-175A), combining classroom presentations and hands-on exercises to give you practical operator experience. This course also includes a complete module of training on the IP version of GEM X.

- Getting to know TACLANE and its operating environment
- Initialization
- TACLANE configuration data
- Display of TACLANE data
- Key management
- Securing calls
- Security administration
- TACLANE management functions
- Maintenance and installation
- Error scenarios and fault conditions
- Managing multiple TACLANE encryptors in an IP network environment using GEM X.
At the end of the course, there will be a short written and practical examination to test your ability to configure and operate TACLANE encryptors in a working environment. Students who pass the course will receive a certificate.
Who Should Attend
The TACLANE training course is for network engineers, operators, and security and system administrators who will be installing, configuring, and operating TACLANE encryptors.
Prerequisites
You should be familiar with basic IP networking concepts. Familiarity with KEYMAT/ANCYZ-10 is desired, but not required.

A General Dynamics C4 Systems instructor works with students performing a hands-on exercise.
Clearance
Course attendance requires a U.S. Government Secret Clearance, COMSEC briefed.
Tuition
The tuition for the course is $1,995. This includes four full days of classroom and hands-on training, course material, and refreshments. The maximum class size depends on class location. Classes are filled as applications are approved.
Dress Code
Business casual dress is required. Military personnel may dress in uniform. Shorts, sweat suits, baseball hats or T-shirts are not permitted.
Course Schedule and Time
Courses are held at our General Dynamics C4 Systems training facilities in Linthicum, Md., and Scottsdale, Ariz. Classes start promptly at 8:30 a.m. and end at 5 p.m. each day. You should allow at least 15 minutes before class for registration at the front desk. Bring a photo I.D. for security verification.
Unless otherwise noted, all courses will be conducted in Linthicum, Md.

Off-site Training
Off-site training is available at the request of the customer. For all classes, there is a $498.75 per student per day tuition fee. In addition, for CONUS classes, there is a flat instructor fee of $3,000 for one instructor, and $4,500 for two instructors. For OCONUS classes, the fees are $4,500 and $6,000 respectively. The number of instructors will be determined by the size and type of class requested.
