Multi-Domain and Cross-Domain Technologies
Past state of the art. The practice of physically separating systems and networks by security domain, usually with an “air gap,” is still a widely used method for implementing multi-level systems today. Duplicated networks, hardware, and software are deployed for each security domain, thus significantly increasing size, weight, and power needs as well as overall costs. These techniques decrease the efficiency of warfighters, and increase the chances for error.
Current state of the art. By deploying optimal hybrids of multi-level security (MLS), trusted virtualization, multiple-independent-level-security (MILS), and cross-domain technologies, a mission system’s total cost of ownership can be significantly reduced, and warfighter effectiveness increased. We are the only company that has been developing, certifying, and accrediting a broad line of inter-related multi-level and cross-domain technologies.
Our Integration, C&A, and Administration Capabilities
Our capabilities go beyond just developing a cross-domain product such as a guard. We are the lead designers of the security mechanisms of many Government programs. We have the expertise to design build, customize, test and deploy accredited mission systems that require multi-level or cross-domain capabilities. Those mission systems include products that we have developed or products that our vendor partners have developed — whichever is the best-in-class solution for the mission. We are experienced in managing the certification and accreditation processes necessary to field a mission system. And if desired, we can provide on-site or remote administration by our security-trained professional staff.
Cross-Domain Integration
We have developed, accredited, and deployed numerous cross-domain capabilities in various mission systems. For example, we have deployed our Trusted Network Environment (TNE®) offering in several operational environments with controlled access to DoD DISN networks. Internationally, we have deployed email guards, and are in the midst of developing SA/C2 multi-national guards, for Canada.

Future Plans
We are constantly reviewing the cross-domain and multi-domain needs of our customers, while our engineering teams are researching and developing innovative cross-domain products and solutions. Plus, we are developing combinations and subsets of our existing cross-domain products. Please contact us about some of the many applications we are actively working on today.
