Overview
General Dynamics C4 Systems is part of the Lockheed Martin team selected to execute the Airborne, Maritime, Fixed Station (AMF) JTRS Program, for development and delivery of tactical communications and networking solutions for the Air Force, Army, Navy and Marines. The AMF JTRS team will design, develop, integrate, test and deliver advanced communication systems to modernize current radio systems with next-generation Software Defined Radio technology. Reliable network-centric capability and legacy compatibility will provide joint interoperability and secure information flow for military platforms such as aircraft, submarines, surface ships and DoD installations. Specifically, General Dynamics has the lead responsibility for the JTR-M/F (Maritime/Fixed Station) radio, and for program-wide Information Assurance oversight.
General Dynamics is the lead for:
- JTR development/qualification for Maritime and Fixed-Station
- Waveform porting and integration (SATCOM 181-184, SRW, MUOS)
- Type 1 INFOSEC modules (JTRS AIM)
- High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor (HAIPE®) services for classified data
- Certification and accreditation support
Benefits
- Multi-channel radios offer 2- to 8-channel configurations
- Reduced size, weight and power cost (SWaP-C)
- Legacy and next-generation waveform support to include SATCOM, SRW, MUOS, Link-16 and WNW
- Software Defined Radios are upgradeable to support mission-defined waveforms and advanced crypto technologies
- Interoperability among coalition forces
- Access to the Global Information Grid (GIG)
- Provides cryptographic modernization solutions for INFOSEC modules
- Advanced key management
- Will feature Type 1 crypto
- Accreditation and certification for Department Of Defense Intelligence Information System (DODIIS) and DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) and DoD Information Technology Security Certification and Accreditation Process (DoD Instruction 5200.40) (DITSCAP)
