The General Dynamics HOOK2® GPS CSAR System is a powerful, global, cost-effective solution for Combat Search and Rescue for the military, paramilitary, law enforcement and government agencies.
Comprised of the software-defined, upgradeable AN/PRC-112G® transceiver or the AN/PRC-112B1 transceiver, plus a handheld GPS Quickdraw2® Interrogator, it delivers field-proven capability, adds encrypted two-way messaging convenience plus GPS positioning data for precise, accurate location, and turns virtually any aircraft into a CSAR platform simply by plugging the Quickdraw2 into the intercom.

AN/PRC-112G® Transceiver The new software-defined, upgradeable AN/PRC112G® Transceiver sends encrypted global positioning (lat/long, UTM or MGRS), two-way messaging, and identification, providing essential, quick and accurate location and rescue information for air crews, forward air controllers and personnel operating in hazardous conditions.
- Quickdraw2® Interrogator
The handheld Quickdraw2® Interrogator quickly plugs into the intercom system of virtually any aircraft, transforming it into a cost-effective CSAR platform, providing direct, two-way communications between the rescue aircraft cockpit and the survivors on the ground for Terminal Area Communications.
- SATCOM Base Station
When used with the HOOK2 GPS Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) System, the SATCOM Base Station provides a direct, secure, two-way, OTH communications path between isolated personnel and rescue forces. With its “Always-On” nature and its auto-acknowledgment feature, the Base Station provides the isolated personnel with an assured communications link.
- GPS-112 Program Loader
The GPS-112 Program Loader enables the user to easily and quickly load encryption key, datum, frequencies, waypoints, and user I.D. codes into the AN/PRC-112G® and AN/PRC-112B1 transceivers and the Quickdraw2® Interrogators.
