As a professional musician, she has utilized her talents to teach young people classical music in addition to her concert and recital volunteerism. It is certainly not uncommon for a teen or young adult to come up to her at a mall, movie, or restaurant and say “remember me” and give Stacie a heartfelt "thanks.”

Dr. John Bruhn

Through his volunteerism at Hospice, Dr. John Bruhn sets a standard for recognizing the value and integrity of the elderly. He is an excellent role model, encouraging others to respect and assist the elderly and to develop ways to include them as valuable members of the community. He treats each person as a special individual who has much “wisdom” to give others. Dr. Bruhn volunteers many hours treating each elderly person he cares for in a respectful, compassionate, and humane manner.

Linda Eales

Linda Eales recommended a partnership between the city’s Citizen and Neighborhood Resources Department and the Green Buildings Advisory Board. Through this partnership, a first of its kind “Scottsdale Design Day” was created to assist residents in the mature areas of Scottsdale to develop plans for upgrading their homes. Linda volunteered countless hours coordinating design professionals and vendors to attend the events. The two events drew over 275 participants plus design professionals and vendors. At each event, residents walked away with designs they could implement.

Rick Mueller

Laverne and Bob Lindley

Laverne and Bob Lindley saved the Scottsdale Brown Bag Program, an important food assistance program for low-income seniors and disabled adults in Scottsdale, when the former coordinator retired for health reasons. Laverne and Bob kept the group of volunteers together and now manage the weekly food program that provides groceries to those in need. At least 120 community citizens receive a bag of groceries consisting of fruits, vegetables, canned goods, and perishables every week.
